Research Team on Inequality

Funded by the Fonds de recherche du Québec – Société et culture (FRQSC)

We study the causes and consequences of economic inequality, and how policies affect it. Our work covers inequality in income, earnings, wealth, consumption and more.

Our approach draws on both macroeconomics and microeconomics. We analyse large survey and administrative data sets and macroeconomic models with heterogeneous households and firms, often in combination. → Read our new / published research.

The team brings together nine economists at McGill University, Université de Montréal and UQAM, as well as their graduate students. → Meet the members
